Online Craps Rules
If you want to win at online craps you need to learn the basic craps rules. You don’t need to be a craps professional or know every craps strategy in the book, but a good and varied knowledge is definitely the way to go. Once you understand the main concepts of the game it’s easy to further your craps education through experience.
Playing from the Comfort of Home
The majority of the rules in the online craps world are the same as in a casino, but the environment (for obvious reasons) is very different. In a casino you have people shouting and screaming, money flying around, not to mention the obligatory drunken guy who has just spent his last bit of cash. While that can be fun, if you’d rather stay at home and avoid the scent of smoke in your hair, then we recommend you play online craps instead.
Overview of Online Craps Rules
The game of craps begins with the roll of two dice. The person rolling the dice is known as the shooter. The shooter wants to start off by rolling a 7 or 11 for an instant win, and wants to avoid a 2, 3, or 12 for an instant loss. Any other number means that the shooter keeps rolling until landing on that number again or rolling a seven.
If your initial bet on the shooter was to win or pass and a 7 or 11 is rolled then you win your bet. If those numbers aren’t rolled, you neither lose nor win, and the next stage of the game begins. Say for example, the shooter rolls a 4. You have another chance to win if the shooter rolls another 4 before rolling a 7. But if a 7 is rolled before a 4, then you lose.
The second type of betting in online craps is determined by the first roll of the dice. If the first roll of the dice is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, then the shooter gets to roll again, and you can place your next bet known as the odds bet. An odds bet is a bet on whether the shooter can duplicate their first roll before rolling a 7. If this happens you can win both your initial pass bet and the odds bet for maximum profit.
While there are other types of bets you can make, these are the essentials that you need to grasp in order to begin playing.
